The Root
CauseMatters.
In South Africa, over 1.6 million formerly incarcerated individuals face systemic barriers to reintegration — denied jobs, housing, and dignity. Meanwhile, 7.7 million youth are invisible to the economy.
eAfrica exists at this intersection. We work with individuals upon release and with unemployed youth — providing the counselling, skills, connections, and mentorship that the system failed to offer. No crime without opportunity — and we are building those opportunities, one life at a time.
Through our flagship program Reintegration: Together Towards Tomorrow, we address the critical challenges of reintegration, education inequality, and unemployment across KwaThema and surrounding communities.
